What’s Your Spinal Credit Score?
By Brett V. Franson, D.C.
We live in a credit driven economy. If you watch television, or just listen around, you will hear people discussing
credit and credit scores. If your credit number is over 700, that is considered pretty good, and over 800
is exceptional. But did you know there is another type of score that is even more important? And that it has to do with your health? Check this out…
Your spine consists of 24 bones. If you count up all of its articulations (joints), you would find about 134 of
them. Each of these joints can move in several different directions. If you add them all up, there are over 900 different motions your spine is
supposed to normally make. And these motions occur with every breath you take and every movement you make. It needs to have this much mobility because it has a very important job. Do you know what your spine’s main job really is? It is a neurological tension regulator! Let me explain…
The way your body really works is that all the individual cells that make up
every single tissue and organ of your body communicate with one another by way
of your nerve system. Your nerve system includes your brain, your spinal cord and the thousands of
miles of nerve fibers throughout your body. As long as your nerve system is kept at the right tone- not too tight, not too
loose- not compromised in any way, then its ability to carry signals
appropriately is maintained. As long as those signals can flow from cell to cell, tissue to tissue, harmony
is established and created and you experience health, well-being and wholeness.
If your spine loses any of its ability to regulate the tension of your nerves,
then the quality of communication and connection within your body is altered. This results in a decreased expression of your Life Energy. Decreased expression of Life Energy means you are less able to adapt to Life’s stresses and makes you more susceptible to these stresses. It means that as your body continually heals, repairs and replaces itself on a
daily basis, the new tissue will not be as strong and adaptable as it could be.
Eventually this tissue will not be able to handle even normal stresses and you
will experience symptoms, disease and dysfunction.
In a nutshell, this means how well your spine is able to do its job is directly
related to how well you function and feel. How well your spine functions has a lot to do with your sense of connectedness –with yourself and with all of Life!
That being said, what is your spinal credit score? If you have over 900 movements available in a normally functioning spine, how
many are still functioning in yours? 800? 700? Less? What happens when you have a low credit score in our society? You don’t get much credit. If you have a low spinal credit score, what happens then? Life doesn’t give you much credit either.
At the Café of Life, our job is to help you raise your spinal credit score! Let’s get you adjusted often enough and long enough to get your score as high as
possible, and then let’s work together to keep it there!! How can we work together to keep it there? Simple. Keep a positive and deliberate focus on what you want in Life so as to maintain
healthy thoughts, emotions and body chemistry. Improve and maintain excellent lifestyle habits, habits worthy of who you really
can be. And most importantly, make sure your connection is clear with regular
Chiropractic adjustments.
And while you are at it, take a moment to think of the people in your life. What is their spinal credit score? What is your child’s spinal credit score? Don’t know? I suggest you get them checked to find out. If it is high, let’s make sure it stays that way. If it is low, let’s raise it up. Let’s get that spine functioning the way your creator intended so you can get more
connected, stay more connected and maximize your ability to create the Life you’ve always dreamed of!
